We are making changes to Easy Books because we want to develop and improve it at a faster pace.
We have moved to a pricing model that makes it fairer for our customers and more closely relates to our own costs. At the same time, we have retired our old pricing model and it is no longer be possible to purchase an add-on outside a subscription. However, we aim to allow anyone who has previously purchased an add-on to continue to use it on the same device. The vast majority of our existing customers will be unaffected by the changes.
New customers will pay a low monthly amount, at a fraction of the cost of our competitors. It will also allow us to offer combined pricing for iOS and Mac. The most common reasons people contact support are for help with billing and restoring past purchases. Often this is because of confusion about which add-ons have been purchased, and on which platform they are for. This will be simplified by the subscription model, which links all purchases to a single user account. All devices signed in under this account will receive the features available in the subscription.
Help me choose a plan
Based on popularity, we have grouped our previous add-ons under the following subscription options.
Bronze. Our basic subscription offers:
- Easy Books for Mac and iOS
- Unlimited Transactions
- Online Sync
- Access to help & support
Silver. Includes all the features of the bronze plan, plus:
- Customer Invoicing
Gold. Includes all the features of the silver plan, plus:
- Foreign Currencies
- Priority Support
Unlimited Transactions - An entry that transfers money between accounts is called a "Transaction" in Easy Books. For example, purchasing a book of postage stamps would be entered as a transaction to record the date, amount paid and to classify the type of purchase. The app comes with space for 60 transactions so you can try it out and see whether you like using it. The limit can be removed completely by purchasing a plan that includes this feature. Once purchased, you can add as many transactions as you want, across all businesses. Most people purchase this feature after they make the decision to use Easy Books.

Customer Invoicing - The app will create sales and purchase invoices for the purposes of bookkeeping as standard. This feature allows you to send your estimates, sales invoices and statements to your customers in PDF format. You can change the labels on the invoice, set your own company logo and even add your signature if you need to. The app adds a DRAFT watermark which allows you to use all the features of creating invoices, setting your company logo, sending them by email (to yourself) and so on. When you're happy the feature works well for you, purchase a plan that includes this feature to remove the watermark.

Time-Tracker - If your business makes money by charging out time to customers, you will benefit from this feature. It keeps track of all hours worked for customers, and uses configurable rules to produce sales invoices automatically. You can add as many workers and customers as you like, and for each combination you can set the billable rates and rules about how to process the hours into sales invoices. The app comes with space for 10 entries, but you can remove the limit by purchasing this feature.

Foreign Currencies - If you have a bank account in a foreign currency you can set it up in Easy Books in its own currency. If a supplier invoices you in a different currency, you can do the same. Easy Books handles 150+ currencies with exchange rates updated hourly. It also tracks historical rates, just add transactions and let Easy Books find the rate applicable at the time. The value of these accounts when converted to the business currency changes as exchange rates fluctuate, but Easy Books will keep track of the exchange rate gains or losses and record them in the financial reports so you don't have to worry.
Included in: Gold Plan.
Attachments - Attach photos of receipts, PDFs and other documents to transactions, statements and estimates. These are stored online and available on your other devices. Use these as evidence to show the accuracy of your entries. For example, attach the original bank statement to each reconciled statement, attach receipts to purchases and attach your calculations to estimates.

What happens to existing customers?
If you currently use our Online Sync service, you do not need to do anything! Your devices will continue to work as before.
If not, you'll need to register for an account from within the app. If you have a device which you used to purchase add-ons such as Unlimited Transactions or Customer Invoicing, you can keep using it. Just sign in to the service and we'll link your past purchases to your account. We are honouring all past purchases.
Customers with a purchase history are eligible for product support for one year after their most recent purchase.
If you need to add more features, or for continued access to support, choose from one of the plans available. We no longer sell add-ons separately.
What if I need help?
Access to our support system is available to customers with an active subscription. Customers who have purchased an add-on for a one-time fee can access support up to a year after their most recent purchase.
How do we compare to our competitors?
Prices shown are for equivalent functionality to our "Gold" plan, which includes invoicing, stock, multiple currencies and time tracking. Correct as of 4 November 2016.
How do I start a subscription?
All versions of Easy Books are compatible with these subscriptions.

- If you have an Easy Books Online Account (or Online Sync Account), visit your account page at sync.easybooksapp.com to upgrade.
- If not, you can purchase direct from the Pricing Page. After we receive your order, we will send you an email with your details. Simply open Easy Books and sign in using the Online Sync screen.
